How Do Rental Laws, Property Managers, Real Estate Brokers, Landlords/Sellers and Buyers Get Through a Deal?

If you haven't heard, Colorado has had "just a couple" laws regarding tenants' rights come out in the past few years. Keeping up with all of the new laws is almost a full-time job, but it is safe to say that it has become a tenant-friendly market. As a result, the sale of a rental property can be largely impacted and potentially put both the Seller and Buyer at risk. We'll review some of the laws, and how we can best avoid standing in front of a judge.

Housing Partners of Larimer is a county-wide initiative dedicated to supporting local rental property owners in maintaining profitable rental properties while providing safe, stable housing for those who need it most. Our goal is to create win-win solutions: landlords gain access to financial benefits and dedicated support staff, while also contributing to addressing the region’s housing shortage. To minimize risk, we collaborate with trusted agency partners who ensure sustainability for both tenants and landlords.

As a collective of property owners, managers, real estate agents, and developers committed to affordable housing, Housing Partners of Larimer works alongside community service providers to support households facing the greatest barriers to housing access.
