Join Laura Rivas to learn about how to start & sustain your self-care through this Summer season! Learn tips and tricks for how to start, maintain and sustain a holistic approach to your overall wellness and mental wellbeing! Bio: Laura’s approach to therapy is primarily person-centered. She meets clients where they are and draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Solution-Focused, Gestalt, and Narrative therapy. She believes in therapy being a collaborative process where clients can take the lead during sessions. She believes every client has a unique story and is the expert of their own life, and wants to provide a space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Laura has a passion for helping clients work through the difficult parts of life and enjoys cheering on clients through the exciting parts of life! Laura is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Child & Family Studies with a concentration in Family Studies from Baylor University and earned her Masters degree in Couples & Family Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. Laura is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision with emphasis areas in Couples & Family Therapy and Play Therapy. Her specializations include relationships, life transitions, stress management, anxiety, and depression. Her professional experience has included working with adults, couples, families, children, and teens. Laura specializes in working with individuals and couple & family systems.
