City of Fort Collins Active Shooter Training

Keith M. Maynard

Corporal Keith Maynard has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and is currently a School Resource Officer Corporal in charge of the schools on the east side of Fort Collins. Keith has 8 years of experience as a crimes against persons detective and has had many jobs as a police officer, including K9 officer, field training officer and was a member of the honor guard. As a crimes against persons detective, Keith specialized in internet crimes against children and has testified in district court as an expert in cell phone forensics. Keith developed an internet safety presentation in 2007 and has taught over 14,000 teachers, parents and students about cyberbullying, sexting, social media and the law. Keith also helped develop a curriculum for safety and survival in the classroom and office.  Keith developed the presentation and curriculum in 2014 and has taught over 1000 teachers and administrators that work for Poudre School District.  Keith is an adjunct trainer for the I Love U Guys Foundation, specializing in the Standard Response Protocol.

Using case examples and scenarios, the presenter will talk about safety and survival in the classroom and office.  The focus of the presentation is survival in the first three minutes of a critical incident.  The presentation also includes discussions about survival mindset, crisis communication, the standard response protocol and transitional thought process.  We will discuss what to do after the first three minutes and how to begin returning to the “new normal”.  The presenter will give you tools to help you navigate through a critical incident using the philosophy of run, hide, fight, transitioning to move, escape or attack.

NEW EXECUTIVE ORDER (2020-2021)

AFFECTING RENT DEMANDS

AAMD / CAA Members,

The Governor has issued Executive Order 2020-202 again affecting rent demands.

The Executive Order as two practical effects:

First, it requires that all rent demands include a copy of this five-page CDC order as well as this two-page Declaration form

There is no requirement that you provide either of these documents to the resident prior to serving a rent demand nor is there any requirement that you re-serve these documents with the rent demand if you’ve already provided them to the resident (which we know some of you have).

Additionally, the Executive Order extends the requirement of the use of the 30-day rent demand.
